New Club Constitution Adopted

On Monday 7 April, FC Birrarung held a Special General Meeting to adopt our new Club Constitution, which was passed unanimously.

Thank you to the 39 members who attended and contributed to this important outcome. Your engagement and support are greatly appreciated.

The adoption of the new Constitution marks a significant milestone for the club and provides a strong foundation for our future growth, governance, and operations.

FC Birrarung Season Launch!

Season Opener - Family Fun Day - Saturday 25th March

We are kicking off the Winter 2026 season on the 25th April with a Family Fun Day & Season Opener. This will include having a Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony being performed by Aunty Joy in the lead up to our Senior team playing under lights at FC Birrarung. There will be lots of opportunities for our Juniors and Minis to get involved with an Inflatable Soccer pitch, Minis competitions with our Senior Women and Mens teams, and we will be having a Guard of Honour for our Seniors to run out onto the field at 5pm. There will also be catering during the afternoon. Our first junior games are the following day (Sunday 26th) and we are looking to bring all parts of our Club together to celebrate.

Designed for children aged 4–6, the Pups Program introduces young players to the fundamentals of football in a fun and supportive environment. Weekly sessions focus on developing basic skills, teamwork, and confidence. Need help completing your player registration for the 2026 season? FC Birrarung will be holding in-person registration assistance sessions at the Pavilion/Clubhouse this week.

Club volunteers will be available to help families complete registrations and upload the required documentation.


Please bring the following:
• Your Majestri login
• Your PlayFootball login
• Your child’s ID document
• A suitable headshot photo of the player
• The physical ID document must also be presented in person


If you’re having trouble with registration or documentation, come down and we’ll help you get everything sorted before the season starts.

Boys & Girls FC 2026 – Junior Preseason Tournament

Presented by Football Victoria, the Boys & Girls FC tournament returns to Bendigo on Saturday 21 & Sunday 22 March 2026.

Held at Epsom Huntly Reserve, this premier junior preseason event is a highlight of the Victorian football calendar, giving clubs the opportunity to bond, socialise, and sharpen their skills ahead of the 2026 season. The weekend promises a vibrant, action-packed atmosphere with plenty of football, entertainment, and activities for the whole family.

Timeline

1 October: Pre-registrations for 2025 players close

2 October: External registrations open

2 October - January: Team formation takes place. 

February - March: If you are currently on our 2026 waitlist, this is the time where we will contact you as soon as a spot is available for your child. Please have patience while our team work through this large workload. 


Expression of Interest Form

New players are encouraged to submit an Expression of Interest once registrations open (from 2 October). Team placement depends on availability, with priority given first to siblings of existing players and then on a first-come, first-served basis. You will be contacted by the club if a position becomes available in your age group.

After three fantastic years with FC Birrarung, our Technical Director Sam Stallbaum is finishing up at the end of this season.
Sam has been instrumental in shaping our coaching culture, supporting our volunteer coaches, guiding player development, and helping our young players fall in love with the game. Her enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication have built stronger teams both on and off the field, and her impact will be felt for many seasons to come.

The U15C Boys Team, coached by Kuba, were crowned champions of the Mixed 15C Division. In a strong display of football, the team secured a 3–1 victory over East Bentleigh SC, the Premiers of the 15C South League.
